Common questions
How do I change when the reminder shows up?
Open the Settings tab in the app — pick one of the quick times, or choose a custom time with the time picker.
How does the streak work?
Your streak grows by one each day you reveal the word and answer its quiz correctly. Retries on the quiz are free and unlimited — only missing a full day resets it. Your best-ever streak is kept separately and never goes down.

What the app stores
Your streak count, word history, favorites, and reminder time are saved only on your own device, using standard on-device app storage. This information never leaves your phone — it is not sent to the developer, to Apple, or to any third party.
Notifications
Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Word Sprout does not use a push notification server, and no notification content is generated or seen by anyone outside your phone.
Pronunciation
Tapping the speaker icon uses your device's own built-in text-to-speech engine. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
No accounts, no tracking
There is no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs that collect data of any kind. Word Sprout does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, or location.
Children's privacy
Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it is safe for use by children of any age.
